• Deep Peels (Level 3): This peel option removes skin cells from even deeper within the dermis and can require up to 2 weeks of downtime. This option is ideal for treating deeper wrinkles, severe discoloration, and significant texture concerns. Clients report up to 10 to 14 days of peeling. Cost: $250.

The timing of your results from a chemical peel depends on the depth of the treatment. You may be more interested in a medium peel, which can take 7 to 10 days to reveal results. If you went with a deep peel, which targets more significant skin concerns, it may take up to 2 to 3 weeks before the full effects become visible. 

Regardless of the peel’s intensity, your skin will continue to improve over time as collagen production increases and cell turnover quickens. It’s also important to remember that no matter which peel you use, your skin will have some peeling. This is a normal part of the process, and its duration depends on which type of peel you get.

What should I know to be prepared for my treatment?

At Allyn Aesthetics, we have some base guidelines that are important for you to follow to help ensure you get the most out of your treatment.

• Avoid using retinoids for 2 to 4 weeks before and after treatment.

• Do discuss any medications or history of cold sores with Jen.

• Wash your skin with gentle, scentless soap and lukewarm water for 2 weeks after your appointment.

• Do not expose your skin to hot tubs, saunas, or pools for 2 to 4 weeks before and after your peel.

• Avoid direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks before and after your chemical peel session.

• Do arrange for a ride home if you’re receiving a deep peel.

• Avoid arriving at your appointment with makeup or skincare products in the treatment area.

• Do not pick or peel flaking skin post-treatment. This is normal and a part of your body’s healing process.
