Kybella in Mt. Juliet

When injected into the chin area, Kybella destroys fat cells permanently, which are then naturally eliminated by your body over time. This process not only reduces fullness under the chin, but also enhances jawline definition as a result. Sessions are quick, lasting 30 to 45 minutes, and require little to no downtime.

Kybella does, in fact, offer permanent results by destroying fat cells in the treatment area. Although destroyed fat cells will not regenerate, weight gain may produce new fat cells.

The number of sessions required for getting Kybella in Mt. Juliet will vary based on your individual needs and goals. Typically, we inform clients they may need up to 4 sessions total to get the best results. To allow your body time to recover and your results to flourish, we will space each appointment 4 to 6 weeks apart.

During your consultation, Jen Allyn, NP, will evaluate your chin area and create a tailored treatment plan. Each session will reduce fat gradually, allowing for a natural-looking transformation. After each appointment, Jen will assess the results and determine if any changes in the treatment plan need to be made.

Proper preparation is key to ensuring your treatment with Kybella in Mt. Juliet is as safe and effective as possible. Following our short list of pre and post-care guidelines can help minimize side effects and optimize your results.

Pre-Care:

• Do eat a light meal or snack before your treatment to prevent any potential light-headedness during the procedure.

• Do not take anti-inflammatory or blood-thinning medications within 10 days of your session.

• Do drink plenty of water to maintain proper hydration in the days leading to (and the day of) your appointment.

• Do not consume alcohol, caffeine, or tobacco products for at least 4 hours before your session.

• Do arrive for your appointment with a clean face free of makeup, lotion, or oils. This will help ensure a more sterile treatment area.

• Do not use topical products that could irritate or dry out your skin, such as retinoids, for at least one week prior to treatment.

Post-Care:

• Do take acetaminophen if you experience swelling or discomfort after getting Kybella in Mt. Juliet.

• Do not engage in strenuous exercise for at least 24 to 48 hours after treatment. It can increase swelling or irritation.

• Do wait at least 1 day before resuming your usual skincare routine.

• Do not expose the treated area to direct sunlight for at least one week.

• Do use a cold compress to reduce swelling and soothe the treatment area if needed.

• Do not consume alcohol or use tobacco products for an additional 48 hours after your session.
